The Thursday Take: "Two Races in Them"? The Price Only Leaves You One
Buy one out of England and it has two races in it, so keep backing it. Tested at Betfair SP: the first run in an Irish Flat handicap is fine, then the prices shorten and the figures fall, 1.13, 0.85, 0.77. The strike rate barely moves. The twist: the first-run bump has nothing to do with Britain. Any Flat handicapper's first run for a new yard runs 1.10, on 15,000 runs.
